Our Ministries

YFC accomplishes its mission with these local ministry programs.

  • CAMPUS LIFE

Campus Life Clubs are Middle & High School Clubs that combine healthy relationships with creative programs to help young people make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life, and positively impact their schools. The average kid who attends Campus Life does not attend church and is either an atheist or agnostic. Most importantly students who participate in Campus Life are given the opportunity to make an informed decision about Jesus Christ, are discipled, and are introduced to the local church.

Campus Life encourages a balanced life: mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Youth who participate in Campus Life grow academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We see a reduction in anti-social problems in at-risk youth that participate in Campus Life.

  • MYLI

MYLI is a 2-year training and coaching program offered by Miami Youth for Christ and
Impact 922 Ministries. MYLI is designed to introduce a model of ministry that has a
proven record in being effective at reaching young people with the Gospel, discipling
them in their faith, and empowering them to become transformational leaders.

Participants will create step-by- step, practical strategies for youth ministry that serve as
“best practices” for an effective youth ministry program.

The program is directed by Dr. Tommy Carrington, who has over 30 years of youth
ministry experience. He served as a Youth Evangelist and Urban Director with Miami
Youth for Christ for 12 years, and in 2002, he founded Impact 922 Ministries, a ministry
designed to train and equip youth workers and student leaders.

Tommy earned B. A. and M. A. degrees in Counseling Psychology from Trinity
International University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological
Seminary, specializing in Ministry in Complex Urban Settings.

Other experienced speakers and trainers will be invited to teach specific workshops.
